The name athenascape.com comes from the goddess Athena. In Greek mythology Athena, was the daughter of Zeus and Metis and the goddess of wisdom, military victory, and Crafts. She aided heroes like Jason and Perseus in their quests. The goal of Athenascape is to create new unique and intelligent games, and to enhance game play by improving the interactions between player and non-player controlled agents. When non-player controlled agents can really interact with the players, the player can become immersed in the game

Athenascape is a collection of creative and challenging games, ranging from large role playing games, to small logic puzzles. These games feature the Yllas, a creature unique to Athenascape. There are three main types of games, role playing, puzzle and word. Role playing games are larger and more complex. They involve taking on a role and accomplishing several tasks. They require some time and note taking to accomplish. Puzzle and word games are smaller, and meant to be finished in one sitting.
